The Solent and Isle of Wight is one of the premier yachting and cruising areas in the world and has many beautiful locations with many harbours, marinas, rivers, creeks and beaches to explore, including Cowes, Yarmouth, Lymington, Beaulieu River, Newtown River, Hamble River and Portsmouth Harbour.

Just outside of the Solent are other great cruising locations, including Chichester Harbour to the East and Poole Harbour to the West.

The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing break, at any time of the year. It is a stunning Island with un-spoilt scenery and a wealth of fascinating attractions.

Solent sailing at its finest - this is the most popular area for saling with Yarmouth a quaint little Village on the IOW , Beaulieu with its world famous motor museum and last but not least Lymington an attractive old market town close to the Needles and on the way to Poole Harbour.

Hamble (2nd only to Cowes in terms of sailing importance) and Ocean Village are the prime places to sail from in the Central Solent, both of which have a large number of fine restaurants bars and shops.

The eastern solent benefits from a wide range of places to visit - Chichester Harbour with Hayling Island on one side and a range of small marinas on the other. Portsmouth with all its old Naval history, Gunwharf for the shopping and Port Solent where you can stroll the boardwalk or go to the movies and immediately inside Portsmouth Harbour lies Gosport and Haslar Marina.
