The River provides deep water, easy access to the Solent at all states of the tide and is perfect for weekend excursions into the Solent and Isle of Wight.
Recognised as the home of British Yachting, there are several major marinas on the Hamble River which offer extensive facilities for visiting yachtsmen and these are supplemented by Harbour Authority midstream pontoon berths.
All marinas offer good restaurant facilities, or you can venture into Hamble village to the delights of the village pubs & restaurants.

However the river is very popular and home to many yachts & other small craft. At peak times the waters can get very congested especially at the mouth of the river.
The harbour authority jetty in front of the black and white tower at Warsash offers limited berthing.
There is also a pump out facility for yachtsmen wishing to empty their holding tanks.
