Our Sailing Days

There are many and varied Corporate Events on offer today, however our sailing days stand out and remain highly popular by our clients who amongst other things use them to

A day on the water is a unique and particularly effective way of getting to really know those around you and our team will ensure that all your needs are taken care of allowing you to focus on your own goals for the day.

We offer our days on a variety of different yachts and tailor them to suit your budget so whatever your objective our sailing days provide a cost effective means of achieving your goals.


How much does it cost? 

We have outlined the cost of two typical days, however we can strip out or add to these packages to suit your needs


Beneteau Oceanis 50 with 12 guests

Guests to meet the skipper on board in Hamble.

A short welcome and safety briefing will be given by the skipper so that everyone is familiar with the boat and the plans for the day.

Morning

Sail around the Solent learning the art of sailing & getting used to the boat.

We encourage everyone to take an active part in all aspects of sailing the yacht.

For those who may not have sailed before this morning’s tuition is an important part of the day.


Lunch

Depending on the time of year, we recommend berthing in Cowes Yacht Haven for lunch so that you can step ashore & use the facilities or anchor in Osbourne Bay. Lunch can either be eaten on board or in a local bar/restaurant in Cowes. We can provide sample menus if you wish to have a picnic or buffet style lunch on board.

Afternoon

Sailing around The Solent practising & improving on the skills which were learnt in the morning. On events with more than one yacht we often put your skills to the test and organise a fun race between the yachts

Guests depart from yachts at Hamble. (Timings are approximate and depend on the weather.)

You are very welcome to bring your own food & drinks, alternatively we use a local yacht catering company – see Catering Options.

The most important aspect of your sailing weekend is that it can be tailored to suit you and your guests and whilst we set out a basic itinerary. If you have people onboard who have specific objectives from the weekend we will always try and accommodate them.

Suggested Programme:

Friday 18:00

Guests arrive and meet the skipper on board in Hamble. A short welcome and safety briefing will be given by the skipper so that everyone is familiar with the boat and the plans for the weekend. Eat ashore in the marina or in one pubs/restaurants in Hamble village.

Saturday

Sail around the Solent learning the art of sailing & getting use to the boat.

We encourage everyone to take an active part in all aspects of sailing the yacht. We normally either anchor somewhere for lunch or eat as we go.

Then in the evening we either moor up in Cowes Yacht Haven for the night or, if the tides and weather conditions allow, sail to Yarmouth.

Sunday

The day is very flexible and you are encourage to do as sail around The Solent practising & improving on the skills which were learnt in the morning.

On events with more than one yacht we often put your skills to the test and organise a fun race between the yachts back to Hamble.

Sunday 16:00

Guests depart from yachts at Hamble, please note that timings are approximate and depend on the weather.

You are very welcome to bring your own food & drinks, alternatively we use a local yacht catering company – see Catering Options.

Whether you are out for a day or a weekend, if you have a larger group then we can incorporate any number of yachts, motorboats or RIB’s to cater for your extra numbers.

One of the clear advantages of this is that it adds variety for you and your guests as people can swap between one type of craft and another.

If you choose to we can incorporate a competitive element into the day.

Our team building days involve everyone regardless of previous experience and our professional skippers provide a fun and safe environment, offering those new to the sport an opportunity to participate.

Suggested Itinerary for the Day

08:30 hrs:

Team building can be in the form of a treasure hunt which will involve a set of clues to take them around a course in the Solent, using their new found sailing skills which have been learnt throughout the morning, for example:-

  • Understanding of navigation
  • Position & effect of tides
  • Steering a course
  • Sailing skills – how to sail a yacht using all the points of sail
  • Helming & crewing to make the boat go in the right direction as fast as possible

17:00 hrs:
Guests depart from yachts at Hamble (Timings are approximate and depend on weather conditions)
